Records to a local card

The footage stays on a card
inside the camera.

Motion clips write straight to a microSD you can pull out and read yourself — not to an account that can start charging later.

What it actually is

Built to stay plugged in

Most of what gets sold as a “wireless mini camera” is a plug-in camera with a small cell inside. This one is: 40 to 60 minutes off the cable (seller-stated), then it wants power. Everything else here is built around that being fine.

Your footage stays in your house

Motion clips are written to a microSD card in the camera — up to 128 GB, sold separately. Nothing is parked on someone else’s server, and nothing becomes unplayable because you stopped paying.

See the room after dark, and talk back

Infrared night vision for a room with the lights off, and two-way audio — you hear what is happening and can speak through the camera from the app.

Up in two minutes, no drilling

The magnetic base grips its plate, tilts where you want it and lifts off again. Nothing screwed into a wall, nothing to patch when you move it.

Six things worth knowing

  • Everything lands on the microSD.

Cards up to 128 GB — sold separately.

  • No monthly fee.

There is no plan to cancel, because there is no plan.

  • Night vision and two-way audio.

See the room with the lights off; speak through it.

  • 150° lens.

Wide, not all-round. One camera covers a room, not a house.

  • Magnetic base.

Sticks, tilts, comes off. No holes in the wall.

  • Keep it plugged in.

40 to 60 minutes on battery.

The card is the whole storage plan

Motion clips land on a microSD card inside the camera. You can pull it out, watch it on a laptop, wipe it and put it back. No account, no upload, no monthly line on your statement for the privilege of watching your own hallway.

Questions & answers

Does it have to stay plugged in?

In practice, yes. The built-in battery is rated at roughly 40 to 60 minutes (seller-stated) — it exists so you can carry the camera to a new spot without powering it down, not so it can watch a room all day. If you need a camera that runs for months on a charge, this is not it, and we would rather you knew now than after it arrived.

Is a memory card included?

No — the microSD card is sold separately, and it takes up to 128 GB. Without a card there is nowhere for motion clips to be saved. It is the one thing to add to the basket.

Is there a monthly fee?

None. Footage goes to the card in the camera, so there is nothing to subscribe to and nothing that expires. That is the main reason to choose a camera like this one.

Is this a hidden or spy camera?

No. Despite the name, it is a plainly visible home camera on a magnetic stand and it is not built to be concealed. It is for watching over your own space, and using it to record people who do not know is both wrong and, in most places, illegal.

Can I put it outside?

We would not. The supplier gives no weather or IP rating, and we do not publish ratings we cannot verify. Treat it as an indoor camera — a covered porch at most.

How much does it see?

A 150° field of view (seller-stated) — wide enough for a normal room from a corner, but not a full circle. Some sellers in this category call that “no blind spots”; it is not true, and one camera covers one room.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

It joins your home Wi-Fi so the app can reach it, and we cannot confirm how it behaves with the network down — the supplier does not say. Do not buy it as an offline recorder on the assumption it will keep working; if that matters to you, ask us before ordering.

What if I don’t like it?
