Questions & answers
Is this a GPS tracker?
No. It’s Bluetooth. It rings when it’s near you and the app shows the last place your phone was connected to it. If something leaves the building, this won’t follow it — a GPS tracker with a data plan will, and that’s a different product at a different price.
How far away does it work?
The supplier states up to about 6 m in the open; 10–30 m is what this class of tag usually manages, and walls cut it down. In practice it covers a normal home or office floor. We’re quoting the seller and the class norm — we haven’t measured it ourselves.
Can I use it on my dog or cat?
We’d rather you didn’t rely on it for that. If the animal stays close it will help you find them in the house or yard. If they get out and run, the tag goes out of range and stops reporting — you’d be left with the last connected spot, which is not enough when a pet is missing. For that, get a GPS pet tracker.
How is it different from an AirTag?
The AirTag is better inside the Apple world: it can borrow other people’s iPhones to report a location far away. But it only works with iPhone. This one pairs with iPhone and Android, and costs less. If everyone in your house is on iPhone, the AirTag is the stronger tool.
Any subscription or hidden fees?
None. You buy the tag, the app is free, and nothing stops working later.
Is it waterproof?
We don’t know, so we won’t say yes. The supplier hasn’t given an IP rating, and we don’t publish ratings we can’t verify. Treat it as not water resistant and keep it out of the rain.
