The two things to know before you order
It is one big object. Tiles pack down into a small carton; a 30 mm slab in a single piece does not. Moving house and storing it out of season are the territory of the tile format, and that is a real trade for the seamless surface — not a detail we would rather you found out later.
And the certification line reads Not stated. Three of the four alternatives on our comparison print at least CPSIA today, and one prints ASTM F963, EN 71 and CPSIA together. Ours will read Not stated until test documents exist for this unit. If a printed certification is what decides it for you, that column belongs to them for now, and we would rather say so here than let you discover it after delivery.

Is it really one piece, or tiles that lock together?
One piece. The slab arrives as a single rectangle with a bound edge on all four sides. There are no puzzle teeth, no tiles and no seam anywhere across the surface — that is the whole reason this format exists.
How thick is it, and how does that compare?
The core is 30 mm of slow-rebound foam. It is not the thickest pad on the market: Gathre publishes 38 mm. What 30 mm buys is foam that visibly compresses under a hand and returns, where a 10 mm tile has very little to give. We describe how the foam behaves, and we leave any claim about what it would do in a fall to people who have tested for it.
Which size should I buy?
Measure the open floor before you think about thickness. Measure from the furniture line to the wall and buy the cut that reaches it — a baby does not stay on a 4 × 6 corner of the room. The five cuts run from 39 × 59 in to 118 × 157 in.
Is it certified?
No — the certification line reads Not stated. There is no published test document for this unit, and we are not going to print a standard we cannot show you. Three of the four alternatives we compare against print at least CPSIA today. If a printed certification is the deciding factor, buy on that.
How do I clean it?
The velvet face is unbroken, so most of what lands on it lifts with a damp cloth in one pass. The seller lists the cover as machine washable; we have marked that as seller-stated until we confirm it on the unit itself.
Will it slide on a hard floor?
The underside is a plain non-slip backing and the slab is one heavy piece rather than sections that travel independently. That is the seller’s description, listed as such until we confirm it.
